Here’s an update on the progress of the Grand Dunman project, a residential development that you may still want to consider investing in. Over its launching weekend, more than half of its 1,008 units, specifically 550 units (54.6%), were sold, as confirmed by the developers, SingHaiyi Group and CSC Land Group. The average selling price reached an impressive $2,500 per square foot.
The sales distribution across the property types was quite varied. The two-bedroom units were the most popular, with 77% of them selling from a base price of $1.55 million, equating to $2,330 per sq ft. Three-bedroom units also received significant interest, with 61% of them being sold from a starting price of $2.21 million at $2,309 per sq ft. One-bedroom units also sold well, with 58% being purchased from $1.09 million upwards, priced at $2,418 per sq ft.
SingHaiyi’s head of sales and marketing, Mr Gary Lim, highlighted that buyers appreciated the superior views offered by many of the south-facing units. He also noted a mix of investors and owner-occupiers, with a tendency for the latter group to purchase the larger units. It’s worth noting that a majority, about 90%, of buyers were Singaporean, with the remaining 10% split between permanent residents (9%) and foreigners (1%).
The Grand Dunman development had the most successful launch in over two years, surpassing the previous record-holder, Normanton Park.
